Arts, Culture & Entertainment

Horwich is fortunate to have many organisations that hold events that can be enjoyed by all the community. Art, craft and creative writing groups meet regularly at Horwich Community Centre – visit the HCC page for more information. There are also choirs, an art society and the famous Horwich Prize Medal Morris Men who host visiting Morris teams on ‘A Day for St George’ on the nearest Saturday to St George’s Day in April every year.

Horwich also has the annual Festival of Horwich, funded entirely by the Town Council, held at Horwich RMI Recreation Ground, a free fun day for all the family with fairground rides, inflatables, live entertainment, food and drink stalls, fun dog show and bake-off competition. Last year’s event was a great success and this year’s will take place on Sunday 8th September and promises to be even better!
