Councillor Ian Aldcroft became Town Mayor of Horwich and Chair of the Town Council for 2024 – 25 at the Annual Meeting of the Council on 9 May 2024, taking over from Councillor David Grant. The Town Mayoress is Mrs Janet Aldcroft. Chosen charities for the mayoral year are local groups Rock It, Horwich Clean Up Brigade and Daytrippers Bolton.
